Mountain Climbing and Highpointing

_This Award-nominated short documentary followed a trip I made to Idaho in September 2005. The goal was to climb Borah Peak, the highest mountain in the state, as well as see the Sawtooth Mountains and Sun Valley. All of this in 2 days off from my job in Salem, OR (8 hours away).
Highpointing is the adventure of climbing all the highest points in a particular area, more regionally defined here in the US would be climbing the highest point in all 50 States. Yes, I am one with those goals, and I've achieved 7/50, with 5 of those being very challenging Western peaks.

The rush of the sky, the high peaks, the raging rivers...

I've white-water rafted, skydived, bungee jumped, climbed the high peaks of America, and lived in some of the most beautiful places in the world. My sense of adventure never ends, and it is here that I begin to showcase to the world some of my achievements, and goals for the future, through video and photo slideshows.
Skydiving
I've always wanted to skydive. I'm not a big fan of airplanes, so the opportunity to safely jump out of one...well, that's sounds like
just too good a feeling. And then there's the crazy rush of it, along with the unique perspective of God's wondrous world. I finally took the plunge in September of 2006. It was amazing! I was surprised at how peaceful and spiritual it felt, floating above the Earth. Sadly, I haven't returned to this sport, but it has been on my list to go through the intensive Accelerated Freefall Program that allows you to jump solo. Stay tuned...
