New Projects and going forward
These last few years have seen ups and downs and all arounds in my life. Creativity and experimentation are always key to my survival, but there have been severe droughts mixed with bursts of passionate work during this time.
I guess this is so many of us, each expressed in our own ways. Now is a time when I can’t seem to get enough time in front of the camera, behind it, iPad editing, hanging with other creative types, songwriting, photographing new subjects and concept Sounds;creating new vegan dishes at home from scratch.
Etc.
Currently heaviest on my brain and soul, I am going forward with my current passion project - “The 9nth Level” - a feature film influenced by insanity, the Surreal, 80’s romps and adventures I watched growing up, Gen X midlife disaster, stoner culture and what it means to enjoy the silent spaces of your own making, as needed.
It’s a complex fairy tale and one that I have written, rewritten and pored over again.
So here we go, on a collective Surreal journey. Into my brain.
I warned you.

My Artist's Spirit

The creative spirit in me has always been alive. So has a passion for cinema. From the historic, archival and classic; to modern, art-house and Hollywood both; foreign and documentary, all styles of animation; I've charged forth as a cinemaphile and filmmaker myself, upon completion of a multitude of courses at the Northwest Film Center in Portland, OR and learning as I went out, worked on sets, played around at TV stations.
In literature, theater and pop culture I've had a passion for books, the stage and for writing in all it's lovely forms. So here is a page for my many diverse projects in books, scripts, narrative films, and anything that goes beyond the short vlogs I've created elsewhere in the past on the site.

My first feature film-"The Missed Detail"

In 2004, I began a weekends production on a short film I wrote called The Missed Detail. It was a modern film noir that I wrote in the Summer of 2000. During the several years of production done in my spare time, fit in between my work and travels, it became a feature length film, much due to the enjoyment of working with L.A.-based actor Matt Baker and the character he created. Locations were amazing, as we filmed from the Oregon Coast to Seattle, Portland's Chinatown and Waterfront , to Mt Hood and the farm country outside of Salem. The film is now finished, and am excited to for the public to see it. Anyone interested in viewing the film, contact me via email, and I can send the link to the film online (as well as a great outtake reel) only available from me. I can also send a DVD of the film if you like. Below the teaser trailer for this noir-ish crime comedy. Enjoy!
"Machine Gun Cop"

Last spring I began diving back into the acting game that I had so enjoyed many years ago. One of the projects I auditioned for was a trailer for a grindhouse film contest -Hobo with a Shotgun Trailer Contest-with the film called Machine Gun Cop, directed by Jeremiah Williams in Livermore, CA. I was cast as the baddie in the fim-a wheelchair bound Mob Boss. While the trailer didn't win the contest, it was a finalist and a great hit, and I'm hoping to see the full film come to fruition as a feature.

"ASTROBOT APOCALYPSE TRAILER"
Astrobot Apocalypse is an upcoming feature film from Eureka, CA native and current Petaluma resident Casey Lewiston. I was thrilled to be a part of this comedy-action-SciFi film and am looking forward to working with Casey in the future on many great projects.
"BELOW"
Below is a student horror film that I was invited to act in in San Francisco in the Spring of 2011. It shows great promise for the writer/director Tai Cordts, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he creates next!
